2012 Mother's Day Contest Winner
Our Mom's are very special to us for many reasons! The Spa at The Inn at Bay Harbor and Lite 96.3 would like to honor one special Mom with a Spa Day for her and a friend.
We are pleased to introduce our winner Aimilee O'Neal. Aimi was nominated by her husband Josh, and this is the letter we received from him.
My wife's name is Aimi O'Neal and I am constantly amazed by the strength that she demonstrates everyday I've been blessed to have her in my life. We have three boys: Fenway, Wrigley, and Gunner. Though one is no longer with us, we will always tell everyone who asks about the number of children we have with the simple answer, three. We were barely married for one year when the Lord saw fit for us to have our first child, Fenway. However, at the same time He thought it best to bring our precious son home to live with Him in heaven. I tell this story in large part because Aimi went through the entire process of childbirth and it was then that her strength was made known to me and everyone around her. Not only did she brave this process in our lives but she helped me gain the strength necessary to adjust to this time in our lives. As we continued, a new chapter began with the blessing of our second child, Wrigley. He came to us happy and healthy. Seventeen months later we were blessed with our third, Gunner. The next chapter in our lives began when she allowed me to join the military in 2011 and for the past year and a half she has had to raise our two wonderful children basically by herself. I always tell her that the job she has is much more challenging and it's largely thankless by all except me. Since February of 2011, we have been apart due to basic training, AIT (Advanced Individual Training), and now a 12 month deployment out of country. Her strength and love for her family is unprecedented. She constantly displays the remarkable ability to be a beautiful mother to our boys and does it alone. Her faith comforts her as well as the ones she is close to. She does all of the things a mother should do and more. Our boys will always feel loved by us both but more so by their mother. She is my rock and regardless of whether we have more children or not, they will always find love and comfort in the arms of their MOM.
