2010 Mother's Day Contest at The Spa with Lite 96.3
The Spa at The Inn at Bay Harbor is taking a moment to thank Mom's everywhere for all of their hard work plus the sacrifices they make for their children and families.
We received so many heart felt letters, it was truly amazing to hear all the stories about the mom's in our community.
It is my pleasure to share that our winning entry for 2010 was written by Julia Marie Serrels. Here is what she said about her mom, Cindy.
"Where do I even begin? I might be a little bias but my mom is without a doubt the most amazing woman in the entire world. Growing up in a small northern Michigan town with lots of room to dream she was my motivator, my inspiration and taught me the importance of honesty and hard work. She has never been one to take things for granted and is the backbone of our small family. My mom has always had a full time job and has never been one to sit still. There was no sleeping in on Saturdays at the Serrel’s household. There were always leaves to be raked, bookshelves to be dusted and laundry to do. She always puts the happiness of her family ahead of her own and rarely takes time to do something for herself. On top of everything, she has recently added a new challenge to her life: earning her accounting degree. And she does it all with an open heart and a smile on her face. By entering my mom into your contest I just want to let her know how proud we all are of her and it’s ok to take a little time for herself once in awhile. I am always here to support her and to lend a comforting shoulder, just like she did for me for all those years!
