Wine & Spa Tour to Benefit Women’s Resource Center
Seven northern Michigan spas have banded together to support the Women’s Resource Center (WRC) for Grand Traverse Area through a wine and spa tour. The fundraising event occurs on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at Bowers Harbor, Peninsula Cellars and Chateau Grand Traverse all located on Old Mission Peninsula. Tickets are $30 in advance, or $35 at the door. The evening is the third major fund raising event organized by the Northern Michigan Spa Tour, whose mission is to inspire health and well-being while growing the spa industry through education and philanthropy.
Doors open at 6 p.m. with food samplings from several Traverse City restaurants. Wine tasting from all three vineyards will be available along with mini spa services at each winery. Enjoy manicures, pedicures, chair massage and make up applications.
The evening will include a raffle with some amazing prizes including overnight stays at different resorts, spa services, and dinner for two, golf outings and spa gift baskets. Raffle tickets are $5 each or three for $10.

In addition, the Northern Michigan Spa Tour is hosting a week of fundraising from October 8 to October 14, 2012. Participating spas will donate $5 from each 50 minute or longer spa service to the Women’s Resource Center. The mission of the Women's Resource Center is to end domestic and sexual violence by providing direct services and working in collaboration with other community agencies to provide support, counseling, education, housing and advocacy for victims of domestic and sexual violence in the Grand Traverse area.
