The 2017 Crooked Tree Arts Center Juried Photography Exhibition, juried by the renowned photographer, Howard Bond, includes works selected from 140 submissions.

National Morel Mushroom Festival

Each May, Boyne City fills with hundreds of mushroom lovers from around the country who come seeking that elusive delicacy - the marvelous morel.

For a few short days, everything is all about mushrooms. Restaurants prepare exotic, morel-laden entrees, local songsters sing of the morel, secret hunting places (maybe) and recipes (definitely) are shared, and everybody goes on one of the mushroom hunts. A good year can yield thousands of the mouth-watering treats. But, even when a dry spell or late spring makes morels scarce, morels can be tasted at the 'Taste of Morels' and the festival is always fun for everyone.

Mackinac Bridge Memorial Bridge Run

Gear Up for an Active Summer with the 14th Annual Mackinaw Memorial Bridge Run! Being one of the only two unique opportunities runners' are allowed to run across the "Mighty Mac".

Runners must register in advance and be able to run a minimum of 12 minutes per mile to race in the event. Event begins at 6am.

Gallery Walk

The art world arrives Downtown Petoskey for the 16th annual Gallery Walk.

Participating art galleries greet guests from 6 - 9 pm in an open-house format and offer delights for your eyes, ears, and taste buds.

Art lovers also could also win some fabulous art donated by the participating galleries. Each gallery you visit during the evening earns you another dot on your walking map, and each dot earns you a ticket to go in the drawing. Additional tickets are earned with each purchase you make. Thousands of dollars-worth of art is given away each year.

Bay Harbor's In-Water Boat Show

Bay Harbor Lake Marina will host the 14th annual In-Water Boat Show over Father's Day weekend. The show will feature the finest in watercraft from pleasure boats to mega-yachts and everything in between! Diverse land displays will also be a part of the show including a dynamic display of Mercedes, BMW and GEM cars from Fox Motors.

Bay Harbor's Vintage Car & Boat Show

The Bay Harbor Vintage Car and Boat Festival kicks off the summer in northern Michigan with a fantastic collection of classic cars and wooden boats. The highlight of Vintage Weekend is the Parade of Vintage Cars and Display of Vintage Boats, held Saturday afternoon and capped off with a drive-by awards ceremony at 3:30pm.

Charlevoix Arts & Craft Show

Combine one of the most picturesque settings in the state with a gathering of 150 artists and craftsmen from around the country, and the result is Charlevoix's 48th Annual Art & Craft Show.

This year's show has something for everyone, offering an exciting mix of fine arts and hobby crafts. Acrylic and oil paintings, sculpture, hand blown glass beadwork, pottery, baskets, furniture, clothing, hand woven rugs and quilted works are just a few of the things you will find. Charlevoix's Venetian Festival

What began nearly a century ago as a simple candle-lit boat parade has grown into a week-long flurry of color and pageantry that highlights the summer season and attracts tens of thousands of visitors.

The Festival offers a wonderful variety of events geared to delight and entertain every age group. Most events take place within waterfront parks, Round Lake Harbor and Lake Charlevoix. Petoskey's Art in the Park

Artists from all over the United States will descend upon Downtown Petoskey to show off their wares for the 30th year. Again this year, approximately 135 booths will grace Pennsylvania Park, with items ranging from pottery to jewelry, from paintings to photographs, and more.

Wander through the hostas to find everything from that perfect, one-of-a-kind gift for someone special to that jaw-dropping focal piece for the office. The show is rain or shine, so come prepared to shop. 

Bay Harbor Arts Festival

The Bay Harbor Arts Festival is held annually the last full weekend in July at Bay Harbor's breathtaking Lake Michigan waterfront to celebrate the talents of the finest local and national artists. The festival is punctuated with pageantry, music and food while the quality of work exhibited attracts knowledgeable art lovers and buyers. The fair includes a variety of artistic media in an effort to make the Arts Festival both a high-quality art experience and a broad exposure to art.

Charlevoix's Waterfront Art Fair

Many of the nation's finest artists and craftsmen will be coming to the Charlevoix Waterfront Art Fair to exhibit their best works. These have been chosen from over 1000 applicants who subject their work to the jury. This is a most difficult task since this fair attracts the finest, but only a limited number of spaces are available.

The Fair is always held the second Saturday in August and draws more than 25,000 art lovers to this resort town between Lake Michigan and Round Lake. It is the second oldest juried art fair in Michigan.

Petoskey's Festival on the Bay

The Petoskey Regional Chamber of Commerce invites you to attend the 14th Annual Festival on the Bay at the Petoskey, Michigan waterfront. Every year, visitors enjoy great music inside the Entertainment Tent and a fun Children's Area. Annual Mackinac Bridge Walk

Led by the Governor, thousands of folks will walk the Mighty Mac on the one day of the year that foot traffic is allowed. Continue a family tradition or start a new one yourself. Come and join the flocks of people who enjoy the walk - and the view!

The walk begins at 7am. You may START walking anytime after the Governor's party starts the walk at approximately 7am. NO ONE WILL BE PERMITTED TO START AFTER 11am, so arriving early is recommended.
