Skiing & Snowboarding

One of the Inn at Bay Harbor's greatest assets is its proximity to Boyne Highlands Resort and Boyne Mountain Resort. With a combined trail count of more than 115 runs and a wide variety of terrain parks for skiers and snowboarders of all ages and abilities, these resorts have earned their place as Michigan's finest skiing and snowboarding resorts. Beach & Pool

The Inn at Bay Harbor is on the shore of Lake Michigan's Little Traverse Bay.  In the summer, cool off with a hop and a splash into Little Traverse Bay from the beach in front of Inn at Bay Harbor. Also you can sunbathe in our covered beach chairs, take a dip in our outdoor pool, or soak in our outdoor hot tub. 


Centrally located to Boyne City, Harbor Springs, and Petoskey, these towns offer art fairs, unique shops, and local color. Boyne City has wide array of unique shopping with views of the water. Harbor Springs boast many art galleries and designer clothing shops in a quaint setting. Petoskey has the renowned Gas Light District, famous for the variety of clothing, jewelry, book, and toy stores.

Wine Tours

Northern Michigan's reputation as one of the great wine producing regions in the country is growing. Discover how the fresh lake breezes from Little Traverse Bay create ideal conditions for vineyards to flourish. Resort Activities

One of the best parts of being on vacation is reconnecting with your loved ones. Gather your friends and family together and enjoy a spirited game of croquet or bocce ball on our lakeside lawn. Or challenge someone to a game of chess or checkers on our life-sized chess board! The Inn at Bay Harbor provides easy access to one of the most scenic biking paths along Lake Michigan. Little Traverse Wheelway offers comfortable biking and rewards you with panoramic views of Lake Michigan. With roadside parks and a comfort stops along the way you could bike west takes to the scenic town of Charlevoix (14 miles) while travelling east brings you downtown Petoskey (three miles) and Harbor Springs (12 miles). Bike Rentals are available. 


Welcome to America's Summer Golf Capital! With the world-class Bay Harbor Golf Club, designed by Arthur Hills, and its awe-inspiring views along seven miles of Lake Michigan coastline just down the road prepare yourself for an unforgettable round of golf. Nearby Crooked Tree Golf Club also offers lofty views of Lake Michigan and Bay Harbor. This classic course incorporates old stands of northern Michigan hardwoods, sweeping fields and abundant natural wonders. 


The Inn is also situated at the heart of the Midwest's "Golden Triangle" of fly fishing.  Not only does northern Michigan offer amazing access to miles of pristine blue-ribbon trout streams, but this is also the land of legends.  Hemingway spent his summers here. Trout Unlimited was formed on the Au Sable. Leonard Halladay created the Adams fly down the Boardman. We are at the heart of it all. Ready to go?
