A bold midsummer table worthy of the season's most majestic moon
The Buck Moon dinner brings the Full Moon Dinner Series to its most adventurous evening yet, with a menu that ranges from beef tartare and walleye to a venison filet as its centerpiece. Part of a monthly series held at Bay Harbor Golf Club, each dinner is designed by our Executive Chef to reflect the character of its moon — and July's is rich, wild, and confident. Guests can opt into a sommelier-selected wine pairing package to accompany the bold progression of courses.

Executive Chef | Tony McCaslin
Tony got his start cooking as a teenager in Northern Michigan - drawn in by the energy of the kitchen and the joy of feeding people. He spent the next decade in Sonoma County, soaking up the flavors, culture, and creativity of the West Coast food scene. Now back home in Northern Michigan, cooking with a creative flair that is a mix of what he's learned and what he's always loved.
Lukas Wiese
Pastry Chef
With his 10+ year career in the culinary industry, Lukas brings passion, creativity, and expertise to his dishes. Originally from South Africa, he attended culinary school in Cape Town, later working at various award-winning restaurants across the world. In his spare time, Lukas enjoys mountain biking, boating, and hiking in beautiful Northern Michigan with his wife, Sarah.
Shawn Peterson
Sommelier
After successful and illustrious careers as a DJ, talk radio host, and in tech startup and sales, Shawn decided to take the time to slow down and dive into his true passion - wine. As a Level 2 Sommelier, Shawn has managed multiple programs in the local area before he joined the Inn as the resident wine expert. In his free time, he enjoys biking and hiking Little Traverse Conservancy trails.
