Explore our fall and winter line-up of Yoga and Barre, plus Sound Healing, all in a small group setting! Space is limited, so we recommend registering for your preferred class in advance.  All equipment is provided, all skill levels are welcome! Youth ages 15+ are welcome with an adult.

The Spa at Inn at Bay Harbor is proud to offer Fitness Classes and new Sound Healing sessions, at the Inn's state-of-the-art fitness center! Each week, we will offer four different classes where guests and locals of all levels are welcome. Find your vacation motivation, or switch up your wellness routine!

Barre

Barre class is a low impact toning class. Barre is based on, but not limited to, elements of Pilates, yoga, and ballet. Light weights and high repetition are used in toning the entire body. Abdominal and lower body are emphasized as well as work on upper body, back, and flexibility.

Yoga

Enjoy a sequence of yoga postures and poses to align, strengthen and promote flexibility.  Simple flowing sequences to warm the body along with slower-paced stretches, in harmony with breath work, make calming the nervous system the focus of this class.

Sound Healing

You deserve rest - you're invited to unplug, slow down, and find rest in the present moment. Join us for a meditative, no-movement wellness experience featuring quartz crystal singing bowls, chimes, drums, plus gently guided meditation and intentional breathing.

TYRA | Fitness

My name is Tyra, I am an elementary school art and physical education teacher in the area, and I have been teaching fitness classes for over five years. I am a certified personal trainer and certified to teach Barre, Yoga, Cardio bootcamp, Hiit, weight training, Spin, Zumba dance and more. I have a passion for living an active lifestyle, and I love the energy, motivation, drive and friendships that are created through group fitness.

AMANDA | Sound Healing & Yoga

Amanda is a Certified Sound Healing Practitioner, Licensed Neuromuscular Massage Therapist at The Spa, and yoga instructor. She was raised in Michigan and spent her childhood summers in Petoskey.  Her education, life and career moved her around and she is thrilled to return to the place she began. Amanda’s mission is to create uniquely curated spaces for individuals to slow down, experience ease, rest and to reconnect to themselves.  She believes each of us deserves and has the capability to feel good in their mind, body and spirit.

KRISTI | Barre

We welcome Kristi in 2024 to begin teaching barre on Monday mornings! Kristi has a B.S. in Dance Management from renowned Oklahoma City University and has over 20 years experience performing professionally and teaching both youth and adult dance classes. Barre brings Kristi’s dance background and passion for fitness together and aims to create a healthy community through group fitness.

SOUND HEALING EXPERIENCE | $35 per person
Register and purchase online in advance.  Drop-in option not available.
