Fitness Classes

This winter and spring, join us for weekly classes at the Inn!

The Spa at Inn at Bay Harbor is proud to introduce Fitness Classes at the Inn at Bay Harbor's state-of-the-art fitness center, beginning in January 2022! All are welcome to join us for weekly professionally-led Barre and Yoga classes this winter and spring.

Class Details

Saturday, Monday, and Wednesday mornings through May 2022,* enjoy Barre and Yoga in a small group setting! Space is limited, so we recommend registering for your preferred class in advance.  All equipment is provided, all skill levels are welcome! 

$15 per class.

Barre with Tyra

Barre class is a low impact toning class. Barre is based on, but not limited to, elements of Pilates, yoga, and ballet. Light weights and high repetition are used in toning the entire body. Abdominal and lower body are emphasized as well as work on upper body, back, and flexibility.

Yoga with Tyra

Traditional Yoga class is a beginner fundamental yoga practice. Yoga postures and poses are practiced to align, strengthen, and promote flexibility. Simple flowing sequences to warm the body alongside slower-paced stretches and breath work to calm the nervous system are the primary focus. All levels are welcome.

Barre with Bailey

This class is accessible to beginners to advanced fitness levels alike, but expect a good workout! Modifications and advancements are offered for each exercise. Barre combines small, isolated movements for each muscle group, providing a full body workout in each session and combines pilates, yoga and ballet inspired movements.

Meet the Instructors

My name is Tyra, and I recently moved to northern Michigan! I am an elementary school art and physical education teacher in the area, and I have been teaching fitness classes for over four years. I am a certified personal trainer and certified to teach Barre, Yoga, Cardio bootcamp, Hiit, weight training, Spin, Zumba dance and more. I have a passion for living an active lifestyle, and I love the energy, motivation, drive and friendships that are created through group fitness.

My name is Bailey, and I am a certified Yoga and Barre instructor who teaches full time online to over 1 million followers on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and my app. I specialize in remixing barre, yoga, dance and Pilates workouts into fun, attainable flows where beginners leave feeling inspired, and advanced levels feel challenged!

All classes are $15 per person.
Check-in and pay at The Spa 10 minutes prior to class.

All necessary equipment is provided, including Lululemon yoga mats.
